A tractor-trailer hauling supplies for Papa John's restaurants was hit by a CSX train after getting stuck on train tracks in Kennesaw.

No one was injured in the incident Wednesday evening, according to Officer Scott Luther with Kennesaw police. But there's a great deal of debris because the train struck the trailer, scattering pizza-making supplies, he said.

The intersection of Cherokee and Main streets will be closed until CSX clears the area, Luther said.

Charges are pending against the tractor-trailer driver. The area is clearly marked to prohibit tractor-trailers from attempting to cross the railroad tracks because of a steep hill, Luther said.

"Just about any kind of truck gets stuck," said Luther, who says a vehicle gets stuck at the same spot several times a week.

About 13 or 14 years ago, a truck hauling candy was hit by a train at the same location.

"We had plenty of people offering to help clean that up," Luther said.
