Police probe two robberies in Marietta

Cobb County Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred at separate businesses Sunday in Marietta.
The first hold-up was at 6:45 a.m. at the CVS drug store at 1172 Milford Church Road.
As a female employee was opening the store, the thief grabbed her from behind. He forced her inside, demanded money and then fled on foot. The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the robber.
The second robbery occurred at 2:55 p.m. at a Subway restaurant at 1690 Powder Springs Road. The thief posed as a customer and ordered a sandwich. When he reached the cash register, the robber brandished a handgun an demanded money.
The robber stole a drink along with his food order and an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a black male, 18-25 years of age who was last seen wearing a black coat and dark-colored pants.
There were no injuries in either of the crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3945.
