The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Police are investigating a cell phone store robbery near Smyrna on Tuesday.
Cobb County police were called to the MetroPCS store at 4625 Camp Highland Road.
Around 10:30 a.m., police said a man entered the store and was greeted by a male employee.
The man immediately jumped over the counter and attacked the employee, police said.
The employee was forced into the back of the store, and the robber took several cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash and fled out the back door, Cobb police spokesman Officer Joseph Hernandez said.
Police are looking for a 5-foot-11-inch, dark-skinned black man with a medium build and a full beard, Hernandez said. The man was wearing a black sweater, black pants and a black hat.
Investigators don't know if the man was armed, Hernandez said.
Police continue to investigate.
