An MTV reality show star was released from jail early Thursday after he turned himself in to police in connection with abuse charges against his infant daughter, police said.

After a five-month investigation, investigators determined that 23-year-old Markice Anthony Moore assaulted the child, Smyrna police spokesman Officer Michael Smith said.

Moore, who is charged with cruelty to children, was released from the Cobb County JailĀ  overnight on $20,000 bond.

Moore was known as "Kesan" on the first season of the MTV reality show "From G's to Gents" which aired in 2008, and was described in his MTV bio as an actor and singer at one time signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label.

The infant girl's arms and wrists, right leg and right collar bone, and three ribs were broken, and the child had bruises to her face, eyes, ears, back, chest and rear after being with Moore on Aug. 1, police said. The child was younger than 1 at the time of the incident, Smith said.

Moore became part of the MTV reality show that Atlanta celebrity Fonzworth Bentley hosts as a forum to improve the overall behavior and appearance of the seemingly uncouth "G's" who appeared in the two seasons of the reality show.

He also had roles in "ATL," the 2006 film set in Atlanta and anchored by Atlanta rap stars T.I. and Big Boi, and in a 2009 episode of Tyler Perry's sitcom, "Meet the Browns." Moore is slated to appear in a film called "Bolden," scheduled for release later this year, according to movie Web site IMDB.com.
