Marietta to meet on pain clinic moratorium
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Marietta City Council has called a meeting for 2 p.m. Friday to discuss a 90-day moratorium on business licenses for pain management clinics.
Neighboring Kennesaw enacted a one-year moratorium Wednesday night. It affects clinics unaffiliated with hospitals, drug treatment centers or hospices.
Kennesaw became concerned after a clinic called Pain Express opened briefly and attracted a large number of clients from other states.
The Marietta council will meet in the fourth-floor conference room.
