Marietta motorcyclist killed in Roswell crash
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A Marietta woman was killed Tuesday when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a car in Roswell, police said.
The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Alpharetta Street, Roswell police Lt. James McGee said.
McGee said a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Sandra Perez-Andres, 32, of Woodstock turned left onto southbound Alpharetta Street, and “proceeded into the far right lane.”
“As the Taurus entered the far right lane, a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle was southbound in the same lane,” McGee said.
The motorcycle, driven by Rebecca Champion, hit the right front fender of the Taurus.
Champion, 50, was pronounced dead at North Fulton Regional Hospital.
Charges are pending against Perez-Andres, McGee said.
