Kennesaw State to hold grand opening for soccer stadium

The public is invited to the grand opening of the Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The 8,300-seat stadium will be home to the KSU women’s soccer team and the Atlanta Beat, a team in the Women’s Professional Soccer league. Festivities will include live music, food concessions, tours of the stadium, soccer drills and appearances by the KSU and Beat soccer players.

The Beat plays its first home game May 9 at the stadium.

The stadium is at 3200 George Busbee Parkway. Parking is available at the KSU Center at 3333 Busbee Drive, which is a short walk from the stadium. Courtesy shuttles will be available.
