A former McDonald’s manager, accused of punching  a mother at a Marietta restaurant and later arrested in Wilmington, N.C., was being held without bond Thursday, awaiting extradition to Georgia.

WSB Channel 2 Action News Tiffany Denise Allen was arrested in North Carolina on July 25 on charges of puncing a woman at the McDonald's restaurant. in Marietta that she managed.

Cobb County authorities alerted the Wilmington Police Department about an outstanding arrest warrant for Tiffany Denise Allen, said police spokeswoman Lucy Crockett. A residence in the North Carolina city was listed as Allen's home address.

An officer went to the home Monday and took Allen into custody without incident, Crockett said. Allen was being held in the New Hanover County Detention Center.

Nancy Bodiford, Cobb County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, said in an email that “we are in the process of having her returned to Cobb County to face pending charges."

The arrest warrant charges Allen with simple battery, simple assault fear and disorderly conduct in connection with the July 12 incident.

A woman entered the McDonald’s at 1291 Bells Ferry Road in Marietta with her autistic children and a service dog, according to the warrant. Allen, who was off duty at the time, became irate about the dog in the restaurant.

Though the mother explained the dog was legally allowed to be in the restaurant, Allen allegedly continued to berate her, followed her around and into a bathroom.

When one of the children wandered off and the mother ran after her, Allen followed the woman outside and hit her in the face, the warrant says.

Surveillance video shows several McDonald’s employees holding Allen back, according to the warrant.

The warrant for Allen’s arrest was signed July 15. Local McDonald’s management has said Allen no longer works at the restaurant.
