Authorities catch Cobb mom on the run in molestation case
For the AJC
A Cobb County woman on the run for two years after being charged with child molestation has been caught by police near Savannah.
The Savannah Morning-News reports that authorities arrested 38-year-old Jennifer Segrest on Tuesday on charges of child molestation and enticement of a child.
Segrest was wanted in Cobb County after authorities said she let a pedophile repeatedly molest her 5- and 6-year-old daughters in exchange for $30,000.
Authorities recently got a tip that led them to an address in Port Wentworth just outside Savannah.
Segrest has been taken to the Chatham County jail to await extradition to Cobb County. It was not immediately clear whether she has an attorney.
