A 2-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after he fell out a third-story window at a College Park apartment.

The boy, who was not seriously injured, was inside his home at the Jackson Landing Apartments on Riverwalk Place in College Park on Thursday morning when he managed to open the window, Clayton County Police spokesman Officer Kevin Hughes said.

“They had a bar on the window to keep him from opening it, but somehow he managed to get it open and fell out," Hughes said.

Paramedics rushed the boy to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Police said the boy had minor injuries, including a cut tongue.

Police said the fall appears to be accidental and they do not anticipate filing charges.

The boy's name was not available Thursday afternoon.
