A 6-year-old boy reported missing from his Riverdale home was found safe Thursday, and the boy's father was arrested early Friday.

The boy was with a family member in Barrow County. Investigators told Channel 2 Action News that the family member, believing the child's father was intoxicated, picked the boy up Wednesday.

Clayton County police had been looking for Andrew Ngalahom, who was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday while in the care of his father, police said. Andrew was playing outside his home on Willow Drive.

The boy was not reported missing until Thursday.

Early Friday, Andrew's father, Moses Ngalahom, was booked into the Clayton County Jail, charged with contributing to the delinquency/deprivation of a minor.

The boy was in the care of the state Division of Family and Children Services, according to Channel 2.
