Clayton officer injured in crash

A Clayton County police officer was injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday.

The crash occurred at Tara Boulevard and Cardinal Road near Jonesboro. The officer was off-duty when the crash occurred, Clayton Police spokeswoman Lt. Rebecca Brown said.

The officer was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with "not serious" injuries, Brown said.

The officer's name was not available Thursday. He was riding his personal motorcycle, police said.
