Clayton County police look for man suspected of stabbing woman and her daughter

Clayton County police were looking Saturday for 31-year-old James Kelly Howard, suspected of stabbing and wounding his ex-girlfriend and her 15-year-old daughter.
The 37-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times Friday night at her apartment on Arrowhead Boulevard in unincorporated Jonesboro.The woman, whose name was not released, remains in serious condition at Atlanta Medical Center, according to Clayton County police spokesman Kevin Hughes.
The woman's daughter was stabbed once before she escaped the apartment. The girl, whose name also was not released, was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center with less serious injuries, Hughes said.
The warrant secured Saturday charges Howard with aggravated assault, cruelty to children and possession of a weapon
during a crime.
