Arrested teacher has personnel hearing
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A teacher at Mundy's Mill High School in Clayton County faces an administrative hearing Tuesday after being accused of questioning a male student's sexuality and then suggesting that another student "put a hit" on the teen.
Randolph Forde has been on administrative leave with pay since his arrest in October on terroristic threat charges.
An attorney for the alleged victim has said Forde pulled the 16-year-old student out of class and asked if he was gay.
Forde is scheduled to attend an employment hearing on today on possible disciplinary action.
According to the student's attorney, Terrance Madden, Forde pulled the 16-year-old student out of class and asked him if he was gay.
Forde then allegedly asked another student to "put a hit" on the teenager, Madden said.
Forde's attorney, Borquaye Thomas, has said the 16-year-old only complained after he got in trouble for another incident.
The Clayton County school system has scheduled a personnel hearing for Forde at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. It will be held at 1058 Fifth Avenue, Jonesboro and is open to the public.
