A joint center for pediatric research run by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University was selected by the National Institutes of Health as a key site for studying cardiac problems in children.

The Emory-Children's Pediatric Research Center will be one of nine core sites included in the Pediatric Heart Network and will receive $19.6 million over five years.

The program will build on local research initiatives including a collaborative program involving the Children’s Sibley Heart Center, Emory University and the industrial engineering program at Georgia Institute of Technology.
