The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Police from Cherokee County and Atlanta seized nearly 800 pounds of marijuana worth nearly $1 million from an Acworth house this weekend.
Officers on Saturday arrested Fermin Garfias, 35, of Douglasville; Jesus Pena, 29, of Birmingham, Alabama; and Jonathan Segovia-Saucedo, 22, of Acworth after a search of the house.
Narcotics investigators from Cherokee and Atlanta said they had been watching the house at 6359 Bells Ferry Road based upon a tip.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers seized the drugs, valued at $957,600, police said.
Officers then arrested Garfias, Pena and Segovia-Saucedo and charged them with trafficking marijuana. All three are being held without bond at the Cherokee County jail.
