Most charter schools in metro Atlanta have been approved by local school districts. Some have been converted from traditional schools to district charter schools.
Click on each school location for more information about the charter school. Not included in this map: Decatur City, Marietta City and Fulton county. These are charter districts, which means all their schools are considered charter schools.
This Atlanta Journal Constitution poll was conducted by telephone October 8 to 11, 2012, among a random sample of 908 adults in Georgia. Interviews were conducted on conventional and cellular telephones, and carried out by Abt SRBI of New York. The results from the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.7 percentage points. The margin of error is five points for the sample of 805 voters and 5.3 points for the sample of 706 likely voters.
