Associated Press

Carrollton police say a man has fatally shot his wife before killing himself in an apparent murder-suicide.

Capt. Jamison Sailors said the bodies of 70-year-old Cleodus Bryant and 76-year-old Frances Bryant were found at their home Thursday afternoon. Authorities say a family member found both of them and called the police.

Police say they believe Bryant shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. Sailors said they did not know how many shots were fired or how many wounds the couple suffered between each other.

Police say they did not know what caused the shooting.
