Atlanta-based Pull-A-Part said it has acquired a second self-service used auto parts business in Texas.

The company acquired a recycling yard in El Paso from Mega U Pull. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In August, Pull-A-Part announced it had acquired U-Pull-It Auto Parts locations in Brownsville, Texas, and Tucson, Ariz. The latest deal gives the company 26 self-service used auto parts operations in 12 states.

Pull-A-Part said it recycles vehicles in an environmentally responsible way by draining them of fluids and refrigerant, and removing switches that contain mercury, lead-acid batteries and catalytic converters. The mercury, lead and plastic from batteries, and precious metals and stainless steel shells from the catalytic converters are then recycled.

The El Paso facility employs about 28 people and has more than 3,000 used cars and trucks.
