Telecommunications company ViaSat is expanding its presence in Gwinnett County with plans to create 275 jobs at metro campus over the next 10 years.
The California-based maker of satellite and network communications systems broke ground this week on a 60,000-square-foot expansion of its campus near Boggs Road and Ga. 316, according to a news release.
ViaSat has research and development and equipment manufacturing at its Duluth area campus. The site is the company’s second largest location, the release states. A company spokesman did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
A state economic development spokeswoman said ViaSat is eligible for up to $6.1 million in quality job tax credits. Figures for county incentives were not immediately available.
