Coca-Cola to match donations to Boys & Girls Club

By Jeremiah McWilliams

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Coca-Cola Co. is using Facebook to "friend" the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The Atlanta-based beverage giant will give $1 to the clubs every time Facebook users give a digital Coke bottle to one of their friends on the social networking site. Coke will also match monetary donations, "points" from mycokewards.com and community service time in service of the clubs, Katie Bayne, chief marketing officer of Coca-Cola North America, said in New York today.
