Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport assistant general manager Arnaldo Ruiz has resigned, saying he plans to look for other opportunities.
Ruiz oversaw commercial development and customer service for the airport, including concessions, parking, properties, customer service programs, new business development and other areas. He said his decision to resign last week had nothing to do with recent challenges with the airport's concessions contracts.
"It's just time for me to make a change and look for doing something a little bit different," Ruiz said.
Ruiz, a graduate of Georgia State University and Georgia Tech, had worked for the airport since 2007, after 22 years at Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines.
