AirTran Airways has renewed its agreement with Expedia Inc. to list AirTran fares on websites including Expedia and Hotwire.
The companies did not disclose the value or time frame of the agreement. AirTran and Expedia have partnered since 2006.
The deal comes as Orlando-based AirTran is preparing to be acquired by Dallas-based Southwest Airlines. Southwest does not list its fares on Expedia and other online travel agencies the way other major carriers do.
AirTran spokesman Christopher White said that the effect of the Southwest acquisition on AirTran's distribution agreements is "yet to be determined."
