Burglars steal grandmother's ashes
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
One Dalton burglar got away with something invaluable recently -- a grandmother's cremains.
According to Channel 2 Action News, the burglary took place July 26 at a Brady Drive apartment in the middle of the night. Police told WSB the burglars took computer equipment, cameras, cell phones and an urn containing the remains, which were kept in a display case.
Dalton police are offering a $1,000 reward to any leads that may recover the urn and its contents, WSB reported.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Detective Ricky Long with the Dalton Police Department at (706) 278-9085, ext. 168.
