Woman fatally shot in southeast Atlanta
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A woman died after being shot in southeast Atlanta around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was shot in the 1900 block of Fisher Road, Officer Kim Jones with Atlanta police said.
The brother of the deceased woman injured his hand and arm punching through a window when he heard about his sister, Officer James Polite told the AJC on Sunday.
He was found near the intersection of McDonough Boulevard and Boulevard, Jones said. He was transported to a local hospital, she said. His condition was not immediately known. Initial reports that he was shot were incorrect.
Detectives are still gathering information on a possible motive and no arrests have been made, Polite said.
