Police are investigating a pair of separate rapes that happened Friday morning in south Fulton county.

Each woman was taken to different abandoned houses on extreme opposing ends -- south and north -- of Old National Highway, police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"These were two totally innocent women," Fulton County Police spokesman Sgt. Scott McBride said. "Three bad guys just came up and grabbed them.

The two incidents happened early Friday morning at a vacant home in the Old National Highway corridor.

Police say they are looking for three suspects.

"We are certain both incidents were [committed] by the same individuals," McBride said.

The exact locations of the incidents have not been released at this time, but police are asking women, in particular, to be on the alert.

Investigators are asking that anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity at any vacant home in the area between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday morning at 6 a.m. call the police Major Case Division at 404-730-7911.
