Georgia Tech defensive end Robert Hall was suspended indefinitely from the football team by coach Paul Johnson after being charged with battery last Sunday.

An argument over money with his girlfriend, former Tech basketball player Brigitte Ardossi, escalated into Hall pushing her into a bathroom and later slamming her into a door and wall of their on-campus residence, according to an incident report filed by Georgia Tech police.

The report also said that Ardossi was bleeding from the head and had blood on her shirt when police arrived. A Grady EMS unit treated and released her at the scene. Hall was arrested and taken to the Fulton County jail.

A statement from the Tech athletics department said that it is conducting a thorough review and that the alleged assault "is being treated with the highest priority."

Hall, a rising senior, played three games last season before sustaining a season-ending knee injury. Ardossi played four seasons for Tech and was drafted by the Dream in April before being cut before the start of this season.
