U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan and film director Spike Lee will hold a meeting Jan. 31 at Morehouse College to encourage more minorities to pursue teaching careers.

The town hall meeting is one of a series of events designed to recruit diverse and highly qualified teachers. Following the event, Duncan and others will announce a plan to recruit, train and place 80,000 male African-American teachers by 2015, according to a news release.

Lee, a Morehouse graduate, is scheduled to share his experiences and explain why more male minority teachers are needed in schools.

Morehouse is the country's only all-male historically black college.
