South Fulton man shot by intruder
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A south Fulton County man was shot in the hand early Friday during a home invasion, police said.
According to a Fulton police incident report obtained by the AJC, Kenneth Moore, 49, told officers he was asleep in his home on Rock Lake Drive near Union City when he heard someone in his house around 1 a.m.
Moore got up and opened his bedroom door, "only to be confronted by two black males in the hallway," the report states. "As the two ran out of the house, one of them turned and fired one shot."
The bullet went through the bedroom wall and struck Moore above the thumb of his left hand, police said.
According to the report, the intruders took Moore's 2009 Volvo S70 after stealing the keys from the kitchen counter. The car is gray, with Georgia tag BFO1597.
Moore was taken to Southern Regional Hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound.
