The Atlanta City Council Monday approved Councilwoman Cleta Winslow’s request to use $5,000 from her council account as part of a reward for the unsolved murder of Spelman College sophomore Jasmine Lynn.

The student was shot by a stray bullet on Sept. 3 near the campus.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta will match the money from Winslow, council officials said.
