Report: People, dogs rescued from bank of Chattahoochee

Two men, two women and two dogs were rescued after being stranded on the bank of the Chattahoochee River on Wednesday night, according to a media report.
According to Channel 2 Action News, the group was in a boat for seven hours before being able to reach the bank. That's when someone called 911, Channel 2 said.
The bank was too steep for the group to get out, Cobb fire spokesman Daniel Dupree told the AJC. The group was on the bank that borders Atlanta, he said.
Dupree said he did not know of any injuries.
The people were taken to a local hospital to be checked out for mild hypothermia, Channel 2 said.
