Reed announces search teams for top positions
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced Monday the people who will serve on two search committees that will help him find candidates for city attorney and Public Works commissioner.
The 10-member search committee for city attorney will be led by Nancy Rafuse, an attorney who served on Reed's campaign exploratory committee. Other members include former City Attorney Elizabeth Chandler and Jeff Bramlett, former president of State Bar of Georgia.
The chair of the Public Works commissioner search committee is former Atlanta City Council President Cathy Woolard. Other members include Cobb County Manager David Hankerson and PATH Foundation chairman Bill Fowler.
The search committees will help Reed come up with three to five names of potential candidates for the jobs. The mayor plans to announce his choices by early May.
