Poor planning has left authorities with two "very detailed" photographs of a suspect wanted in a mid-morning bank robbery.

Federal Bureau of Investigation A surveillance camera shows a man wearing a porcelain doll-type facemask.
Federal Bureau of Investigation The FBI says this man robbed a Chase bank Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 3330 Piedmont Road, in Atlanta, after putting on a mask.

The culprit, toting a semi automatic handgun, entered the Chase Bank at 3330 Piedmont Road in Atlanta Tuesday, jumped over the teller counter and absconded with an undisclosed amount of money, FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said.

The suspect was wearing a porcelain mask at the time -- a disguise rendered useless since he didn't put it on until he approached the bank's entrance. Two photographs clearly identifying the robber were snapped by the Chase ATM machine.
