Police ID man shot 31 times
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Police have identified a man shot 31 times in southwest Atlanta as Dionta Browning.
The 29-year-old died Saturday afternoon after being shot at Lisbon and Cahoon streets, Atlanta Police Officer Eric Schwartz said Tuesday.
Police said the shooting is still under investigation and they have no suspect descriptions, other than two men. One of the shooters was armed with an assault rifle and the other had a 9mm handgun, police said.
Police said the gunmen pulled their vehicle behind Browning's car, shot him 31 times and then fled.
The motive in the shooting is not available and police could not say if the killing was gang-related.
