Nearly a dozen people sustained minor injuries Sunday night when a church van and several other vehicles wrecked at a Buckhead intersection.

Atlanta police spokesman James Polite said the Northside United Methodist Church van was carrying children ranging in age from 11 to 16.

The van struck a vehicle in the intersection of Northside Drive and West Wesley Road about 8 p.m., then hit a utility pole. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash, Polite said.

The van's driver sustained a shoulder injury, and 10 others, including children on the van, also complained of injuries, Polite said. None of the injuries were life-threatening, he told the AJC.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation, according to Polite.
