Community leaders, urban affairs experts and a White House official are looking into ways to make it easier to walk, ride their bicycles and travel through downtown Atlanta.

A forum has been scheduled from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. SW, in the City Council chamber.

The meeting will also explore ways to create more places where people live and work in the same building and other ways to promote healthy living.

The forum is being sponsored by Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell and Central Atlanta Progress. Invited guests include Catherine Ross, adviser to the White House Office of Urban Affairs.
