Police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found early Monday lying in the middle of a northwest Atlanta street.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the unidentified man, who appeared to be in his 50s or 60s, was found dead on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard near James P. Brawley Drive.

An Atlanta police detective told the station that they had no witnesses or suspects, and had not determined a motive for the shooting.
