The Fulton County Medical Examiner is testing the human remains found in a sewer, an investigator said early Monday.

But officials say they don't expect results today.

"This might be ongoing for quite a while," Senior Investigator Mark Guilbeau said Monday.

The remains were found in a manhole on Harwell Road in southwest Atlanta on Sunday night, Atlanta Police spokesman Officer James Polite told the AJC.

The remains are under investigation and no further information is available, Polite said late Sunday.
