Housewife Kim sympathizes with Britney and M.J.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
With the second season of Atlanta’s sauciest and most sordid reality show about to begin, real Atlanta housewife Kim Zolciak has one thing in common with such stars as Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, and we’re not talking about faux hair. Rather, the Duluth-based blonde says she now understands the price of fame.
In an interview with People magazine, Zolciak, a cornerstone of Real Housewives of Atlanta, sympathizes with such mega-celebs as Brit-Brit.
“I feel bad for Britney Spears,” she told People. “I look at her and I’m like, they just tear [her] up one side and down the other! Then the next month, she’s doing so great. She’s lost weight. She’s a great mom all of a sudden. I kind of sympathize with her because I take a lot of that heat myself.”
And about the late great King of Pop?
“I understand the fame,” she said. “My life changed in such a short period of time, I can’t imagine what he dealt with. Sometimes, emotionally, it’s taken its toll on me, never mind him who is far bigger worldwide.”
Zolciak, who gained notoriety in the first season for her relationship with a married man she called “Big Poppa,” told People she takes the criticisms in stride.
“I look at it like negative press is better than no press.”
The second Real Housewives of Atlanta season begins July 30.
