High school football brawl, stabbing result in 7 arrests
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Seven juveniles have been arrested following a fight that led to a stabbing at a high school football scrimmage Friday night.
One of the juveniles has been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly cutting and stabbing another juvenile in the stomach, according to Lt. James Harrell with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
The injured teen, who has not been named, underwent surgery at Grady Hospital and is now in stable condition, Harrell said Saturday evening.
Six other juveniles are facing gang charges, he said. The incident at Chapel Hill High School is still under investigation, and more arrests may follow, Harrell said.
The seven arrested juveniles are in custody at the Paulding County Youth Detention Center. Because of their ages, they have not been named.
