Greyhound station evacuated due to 'strong chemical'

The Greyhound bus station in downtown Atlanta was evacuated Friday after someone released a "strong chemical" in the lobby area, Atlanta police said in an e-mail.

The problem was quickly ameliorated, police said, and customer were allowed to return to the station at about 12:30 p.m.

Police did not say what sort of chemical was released, but fire department radio traffic indicated it may have been pepper spray.
