Grady High wins mock trial competition

Grady High School's mock trial team has once again captured the state title.

On Sunday at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, Grady defeated Jonesboro High School in the final found of the 22nd annual Georgia Mock Trial Competition. Grady, which also won last year's state title, will compete in the National High School Mock Trial Championship to be held May 5-9 in Philadelphia.

Georgia Supreme Court Justice David Nahmias and Cobb County State Court Judge Melodie Clayton presided over the final rounds of the competition. Macon's Central High School and Clarke Central High School from Athens also reached the semifinal rounds.
