A Georgia State University student was robbed this week in an an off-campus parking lot.

Chloe Singleton told Channel 2 Action News that she had parked in the blue lot at Turner Field late Tuesday morning, and was walking toward the shuttle bus to campus when she was mugged.

Singleton said she screamed for help, and tried to chase down her assailant, but that he got away with her iPhone 4. She was not injured in the incident.

Campus police officials told Channel 2 that they patrol the lot from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the hours it is open to students, and are stepping up patrols. Singleton said no officers came to her aid when she was robbed.

"It is unfortunate it happened," Georgia State University police Deputy Chief Carlton Mullis said in a statement. "We are taking whatever actions we can."

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
