Five APS schools honored for advanced coursework

Five Atlanta Public Schools were named Advanced Placement (AP) Honor schools by Superintendent John Barge for performance and participation in the college-level courses. Booker T. Washington High School, Carver School of Health Sciences, Henry W. Grady High School, Benjamin E. Mays High School and South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Science were all recognized based on the results of 2011 AP classes and exams. Statewide, 367 schools made the list.
