A former Fulton County Sheriff's Department jail detention officer was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of probation Wednesday for a fatal shooting, authorities said.

Keawanna Perdue Henderson, 32, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 21-year-old Isaac Jolley, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office said.

Perdue Henderson's gun unexpectedly discharged during an argument, the D.A.'s office said.

She was visiting friends Oct. 28, 2006 on Hollywood Court in Atlanta when she argued with Jolley's brother Randy Mitchell, with whom she had ongoing disputes, authorities said. Mitchell returned to the scene an hour after the incident, this time with Jolley, and there was another argument.

Authorities said Perdue Henderson hit Mitchell in the head with the butt of her personal gun and the action caused the weapon to fire. Jolley, who was standing nearby, was shot in the stomach and died soon after at a hospital.
