A 10-year-old boy riding a bicycle was struck by a pickup truck in a four-way intersection in south Fulton County Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, but his injuries are expected to be non-life threatening, said George Louth with Union City police.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Wellington Drive and High Point Road shortly before 2 p.m., Louth said.

Witnesses told police the child rode into the truck's path, Louth said. No charges are expected to be filed.
