A bank near Georgia Tech was robbed at gunpoint shortly before noon Thursday, according to police. It's the second time in less than weeks that the same bank has been hit, according to Officer Eric Schwartz with Atlanta police.

A man wearing a black paisley bandanna entered the Wachovia branch, located at State Street and Tech Parkway at 11:55 a.m. Thursday. The man then left  in a silver Honda Accord with a Virginia license plate, which was stolen earlier in the day in southwest Atlanta.

No one was injured during the incident. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 black male.

On Nov. 6, the same bank was robbed at 11:15 a.m. In that incident, the suspect left the scene in a stolen silver 2004 Nissan Maxima, according to the Tech campus police. The suspect in that robbery is described as a black male between 5-feet-5 inches and 5-feet-9 inches tall.

The bank is not on campus, but Tech police sent out an alert to those on campus following the incidents.
Atlanta police are investigating the robberies.
