Armed robbery reported near Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech police are reporting an armed robbery that occurred Monday night just north of campus, in an area of northwest Atlanta where several students have been robbed.

The victim in Monday night’s incident was not a Tech student or employee, police said.

That person, whose name and gender were not immediately available, was robbed at gunpoint at about 10 p.m. at the intersection of 14th and State streets, in the Home Park neighborhood.

The suspects were described by police as two black males, one wearing a multi-colored shirt and armed with a handgun, and the other wearing an unknown color shirt pulled over his head.

The suspects were last seen fleeing south on State Street.
