A $50,000 reward has been offered to help find Kristi Cornwell, the Blairsville woman who disappeared Aug. 11.

The Cornwell family announced the $50,000 award Saturday.

The reward “is available for information leading to the safe return of Kristi Cornwell and/or the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her abduction/disappearance,” the family said in a statement.

The family is continuing to accept donations to increase the reward.

Saturday evening, Cornwell’s apparent abduction was profiled on the television show “America’s Most Wanted.” Viewers of the FOX network program were encouraged to call a tip line with any information.

“The phone are ringing. It’s been steady,” Angeline Hartmann, a correspondent with the show, said late Saturday night.
