The anticipation has been building for months now, and at approximately 7:30 tonight the Atlanta Braves will finally play their first in-season game at the brand-spanking-new SunTrust Park.

Fans are slated to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m., but hours before the first pitch, they shared their elation via social media about Braves opening day.

Here are some of the reactions from fans who can’t hardly wait for Braves to face off with the San Diego Padres tonight:

One admiring fan had a special wish for Braves opening day.

Another had prepped a little early with a special Braves-themed hairstyle.
